Quilt Africa started from a place of curiosity and a deep desire to find a creative outlet that satisfied my love of fabrics.

As an architect, traditional quilting and piecing satisfied my need for both creativity, symmetry, order and the feeling of satisfaction from starting and finishing a project.

In 2017, I was running my dressmaking business when I decided to make a quilt after spending hours poring over Pinterest.

After many months of laboring, trial & error and many stops and starts, I completed my first ever quilt a nine patch using African wax prints and a few pieces of Adire.

I shared my finished quilt in the Quilting Facebook Group and I received many requests for the fabrics, almost everyone who commented wanted them, and that was how Quilt Africa Fabrics was born!

Since starting in 2017, Quilt Africa Fabrics has grown to become an international hub for quilters who are curious and willing to push their creative boundaries.
