OUR VISION

A brighter future for girls in Africa.

African Blossoms began the way everything at Quilt Africa begins — with a community that recognised how much it had been blessed, and wanted to hand some of that blessing on. Our tribe sends cash, handmade quilts, and supplies from all over the world, and together we reach girls in our own community here in Nigeria.

We believe access to menstrual health resources and education is fundamental to a girl’s confidence and her future — and the most stubborn barrier is one rarely spoken of: a safe toilet, and the dignity to manage her period at school.

The lack of basic sanitation is one of the biggest reasons girls drop out of school in Africa. Without proper facilities, they are left without privacy or safety — and for many, the absence of a toilet is simply the end of school.
